To truly be Catholic, we must take up our Cross daily to follow
Jesus (cf Mt 16:24 ). St. Paul echoes
this need in Col 1:24 and in many other Scripture passages (e.g.
Php 3:7-11 ;
2 Cor 12:7-10 ;
Gal 6:14-17 ;
2 Tm 2-10
