Many evils in recent history and today indicate that this consecration might not yet have been done according to God’s request. Cardinal Burke, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, everyone at The Fatima Center, and other clergy before them have called for the Pope to repeat the consecration according to God’s specific criteria that include:
- naming Russia as the focus of consecration
- using the same consecration prayer to be prayed in union with all the bishops of the world on the same day (and time if possible).
If anyone thinks that Russia should not be named specifically, then consider the following related analogies. When a:
- baby is baptized (consecrated to God), this sacrament includes the baby’s name. The priest or deacon does not say “Oh, we already baptized all the children so that counts for your child, too”.
- new church is consecrated, this act is done IN the church and includes the church’s name. The bishop does not stay in his cathedral and say that he already consecrated all the churches in the world or even in his diocese.
Russia should also be consecrated by name as God wishes so as to heal and restore her Christian heritage.
Benedict XVI also reminded us in 2010 that the Fatima
requests
have not been fulfilled,
since evil also exists even within some members of the Church herself
