By July, 1917, however, God revealed the most important reasons for His “Fatima project” through Our Lady.
Thus in July, Our Lady’s “project management” really kicked in as she began to reveal God’s plan for every individual and for the world – and the consequences if people do not obey.
She started with the basics, some of which she had already requested gently, as first and foremost, she again insisted that everyone pray the rosary daily and, in so doing, each of us would draw closer to her Immaculate Heart and gain spiritual strength to do God’s will.
More was needed, however, than “just” the daily rosary as the way to increase devotion to Our Lady.
Woven throughout both of these commands that God desired after 1917 are the other essentials that Our Lady already requested – and that are always part of the Gospel message:
- We must each amend our lives and ask pardon for our sins. Our Lady then also told the children in July that: “People must not offend Our Lord anymore, because He is already too much offended”. Given that Our Lord was too much offended in 1917, how much more is He offended now?!
- We must offer sacrifices – unavoidable suffering AND (when possible) voluntary sacrifices - as reparation for sins – our own and those of others, so that many other people will repent and reform their lives and thus avoid eternity in hell. The means by which to offer sacrifices are quite simple, but can be reviewed here and here.
During that July apparition, Our Lady also told the children what would happen if God was not obeyed through her requests at Fatima.
Thus July’s Fatima apparition outlined God’s very big “project plan” for the world that would begin through these children – and that plan continues, because the problems continue – and are worse than in 1917. The plan is also simple, however, because Our Lady gently gave specific parts to the children, as those parts were mentioned previously here. She also and explained the parts in terms that children – and thus any adult - could understand and do.
Ultimately then, execution of God’s “Fatima project” is also very simple if laity and clergy alike will begin and continue to humble ourselves in faith and wisdom to obey.
- Pray:
- the rosary daily, meditating upon the Gospels inherent in each Rosary Mystery
- for God’s guidance and strength, both of which God gives in greater abundance through the Rosary.
- Humble ourselves in faith and love to:
- obey God in all things
- be receptive to His plans for us through Our Lady and her words to us at Fatima.
- Don’t be afraid to tell Our Blessed Lord and Our Lady about our smallest problems and worries, just as Lucia was unafraid to confide her fears to Our Lady in June, 1917.
- Learn enough about:
- why we should love Our Blessed Lord through Our Lady.
- all six Fatima apparitions to understand what we need to do.
- Ponder a vision of hell every day – as described by the three children or by any other saint who has seen hell. For further details on what the children (and other saints) saw, consult July information here. When one considers hell’s horrors, even one minute of thinking or reading about it can seem like a long time.
- Share God’s commands through Our Lady at Fatima – or at least an adequate summary – with everyone we know, so that others have the opportunity to also answer the “call to action” in their daily lives and share it w/others.
